Job Summary




  • We are seeking a competent, patient-focused Medical Officer to support and deliver HIFU clinical services at our Lekki centre.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, treatment support, follow-up care, and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure safe and effective service delivery.



Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Patient Care:




  • Conduct patient consultations and clinical assessments to determine suitability for HIFU treatment.

  • Explain HIFU procedures, benefits, risks, and expectations to patients and obtain informed consent.

  • Perform and/or support HIFU procedures in line with approved clinical protocols.

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and manage post-procedure care.

  • Provide follow-up reviews, counselling, and ongoing patient support.



Clinical Governance & Safety:




  • Ensure strict compliance with clinical guidelines, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.

  • Promptly escalate complications or clinical concerns to senior clinicians.

  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.



Equipment & Procedure Support:




  • Ensure appropriate handling and use of HIFU equipment and consumables.

  • Report equipment faults or maintenance needs promptly.

  • Work closely with nurses and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.



Team Collaboration & Communication:




  • Collaborate effectively with Nurses, Embryologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.

  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Support patient education and awareness initiatives related to HIFU services.



Required Qualifications & Experience




  • Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from a recognized institution.

  • Certification: Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and a current practicing license.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years post-qualification clinical experience.

  • Added Advantage: Experience in gynaecology, radiology, fertility care, or other procedure-based clinical settings.

  • Training: Prior HIFU experience is an advantage; willingness to undergo specialized HIFU training is required.
