Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified practising lawyer of at least 5 years post-call experience.
- Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Experience in legislative, regulatory, policy, or institutional reform work.
- Ability to deliver high-quality outputs on a part-time, deadline-driven basis.
- Familiarity with policy-facing or advisory environments is an advantage.
- The Practitioner Researcher will collaborate with the Centre's research team on assigned outputs.
Role Summary
- The Practitioner Researcher will provide applied legal insight and practical analysis to support the Centre's legislative advisory work, policy engagement, and reform-oriented research outputs.
Key Responsibilides
- Conduct applied legal, regulatory, and policy research in support of the Centre's programmes.
- Draft legislative memos, advisory notes, policy briefs, and practical research outputs.
- Support stakeholder engagements, consultations, and reform initiatives with legal and analytical input.
- Translate complex legal and institutional issues into clear, practical policy recommendations.
- Collaborate with academic researchers and external experts to balance theory, evidence, and practice.
- Contribute to internal research review and validation processes.
