The Cable Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling cable products to clients in the construction, industrial, telecommunications, and solar energy sectors. Key responsibilities include:




  • Client Development: Proactively identify and develop new customers through online research, cold calling, trade exhibitions, and on-site visits. Understand client needs such as cable specifications, voltage ratings, and installation environments.

  • Product Promotion: Develop sales strategies and proposals; present cable product features, technical specifications, advantages (e.g., durability, fire resistance), and pricing to clients; conduct product demonstrations and negotiate quotations.

  • Market Research: Monitor competitor activities (e.g., price changes, new products), analyze market trends, and provide feedback to the company to improve product offerings.

  • Order Management: Oversee the full sales cycle from lead generation to delivery, including contract negotiation, delivery coordination, and after-sales follow-up to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Relationship Maintenance: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identify their ongoing needs, secure repeat orders, and explore opportunities for business expansion.

  • Reporting and Collaboration: Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports; participate in team meetings; provide timely feedback on market conditions and customer requirements; collaborate with headquarters and other teams to resolve client issues.



Requirements and Qualifications




  • Education: Diploma (OND/HND) or Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) or higher; preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience; prior experience in cables, electrical products, or telecommunications industry is an advantage. Familiarity with the Nigerian market (e.g., Alaba International Market or industrial areas along Lagos-Badagry Expressway) is highly desirable.

  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct effective product presentations; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good understanding of electrical principles and cable standards (e.g., IEC).

  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license is preferred (frequent travel required); fluent in English; strong resilience and ability to work under pressure in outdoor/field conditions.

  • Age & Gender: 21-45 years old; open to all genders; must be familiar with local sales culture and practices.
