Role Qualification:



Academic/Professional:




  • Education: BSc/Degree from a reputable Tertiary Institution. Relevant postgraduate (MSc, MBA) and/or professional qualification (CFA etc) would be an added advantage.



Work Experience:




  • 5-7 years professional experience in related position.

  • Proven leadership in major incident management and executive-level communication.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop and drive the strategic vision and direction for the platform in line with international standards.

  • Complement efforts of the product/solutions development teams to drive innovation and new business, whilst improving client experience.

  • Monitor portfolio positioning on assigned portfolios with and conduct market intelligence to understand drivers and sentiments.

  • Monitor portfolio performance relative to benchmarks and provide recommendation for portfolio adjustments if necessary.

  • Drive and promote the CFA code of conduct and standards of professional conduct, as well as strive to encourage global best practice 

  • Maintain healthy relationship with counterparties and regulators 

  • Continually improve investment and portfolio management process in line with international best practice 

  • Align with the corporate culture in a positive manner and Complete special projects as required from time to time. 

  • Prepare, organize and present investment strategies and reports on a periodic basis to the CIO. 

  • Continuously identify, assess and monitor investment opportunities and strategies in order to ascertain profitable entry and exit points. 



Required Skills and Competencies:




  • Knowledge of Insurance Industry/Investment Business.

  • Intermediary level for excel database analysis and Bloomberg skills. 

  • Strong relationships in Asset Management industry and with regulators.

  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies Strong interpersonal skill.
