Job Summary
- The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- This role involves forecasting demand, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining product availability.
- The Inventory Analyst works closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to balance stock levels with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Monitoring & Analysis:
- Track inventory levels across warehouses and distribution centers.
- Analyze stock movements, turnover rates, and demand patterns.
- Identify discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Forecasting & Planning:
- Develop demand forecasts using historical data and market trends.
- Recommend reorder points and safety stock levels.
- Collaborate with procurement to align purchasing with demand.
Process Improvement;
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and obsolescence.
- Suggest process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Support automation and digital tools for inventory management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with sales, operations, and finance teams to align inventory strategies.
- Provide insights to support product launches and seasonal demand.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 4 years + progressive experience in sales especially in FMCG, Telecoms, banking, luxury retail etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.
- Strong data interpretation and reporting skills.
