Job Description
The Real Estate Agent Accountant is responsible for managing financial records related to property transactions, commissions, agent payouts, and operational expenses. This role ensures financial accuracy, compliance, transparency, and proper reporting across all real estate sales, leasing, and investment transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Accounting
- Record and reconciokaytion for regulatory and legal purposes
Systems & Controls
- Maintain accounting systems, spreadsheets, or accounting software
- Ensure proper internal controls and segregation of duties
- Flag financial risks, discrepancies, or inefficiencies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of commission-based accounting
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax and compliance requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Good communication and reporting skills
