We are seeking an Operations Manager for our AJUWON-AKUTE Branch.
The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the branch, supporting the achievement of the organization’s predefined goals.
Roles
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
Coordinate all departments (sales floor, inventory, cash office, warehouse, security, and bakery) to ensure seamless operations.
Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained across the store.
Monitor stock availability, stock rotation, shrinkage control, and loss prevention activities.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards at all times.
Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate staff performance, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation.
Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the supermarket.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of HND / BSc in any relevant discipline.
Applicant must live within close proximity to the Branch
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a senior supervisory role within a supermarket or retail environment.
Strong leadership, people-management, and decision-making skills.
Good understanding of supermarket operations, inventory control, and customer service management.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic financial and reporting skills, including sales tracking and cost control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant retail management software.
