Job  Description 

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver who is skilled in driving both light and heavy-duty vehicles, including Canter Truck, Iveco Truck, and Chevrolet vehicles.


• The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, safety consciousness, physical fitness and good knowledge of road regulations.


• In this position, the candidate will be responsible for vehicle inspections, adhering to traffic laws, maintaining delivery schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and vehicle care.

Responsibilities 

• Safely drive and operate company vehicles including Canter Truck, Iveco Truck, and Chevrolet


• Perform regular safety checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before and after each trip.


• Ensure all vehicle papers are kept in the car and escalate before they are due for renewal.


• Ensure that all necessary internal paperwork and documentation are in order before transporting goods and passengers.


• Dress neatly and in accordance to company dress code.


• Transport staff, goods, and materials to assigned destinations as required safely and on time.


• Assist with other logistical or warehouse duties as required.


• Assist with loading and offloading of goods when required


• Plan and follow the best route to ensure timely delivery of goods and passengers.


• Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of vehicles under your care.


• Handle customer grievances and other issues professionally and timely.


• Report any incidents, faults or accidents to the management immediately following laid down process.


• Participate in training and courses to stay abreast of developments in the transport industry.


• Maintain cleanliness and proper use of assigned vehicles


• Adhere to all traffic laws, road regulations, and company safety procedures at all times.


• Keep accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance (log book).

 Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 yearsof proven professional driving experience.


• Valid Nigerian Driver’s License


• Good knowledge of Lagos and interstate routes


• Ability to drive long distances when required


• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations, traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques.


• Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading duties when required


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Must be responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
