Job Summary
- The Electrical Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will undergo structured training and practical exposure in electrical engineering operations, maintenance, and project support within an industrial/mining environment. The role is designed to develop technical competence in electrical systems, safety compliance, and plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support troubleshooting of electrical faults in motors, switchgear, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure plant uptime.
- Work with senior engineers on installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and company policies.
- Support documentation of maintenance records, reports, and technical drawings.
- Assist in monitoring energy consumption and recommending efficiency improvements.
- Attend training programs to build competency in industrial electrical engineering practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Recent graduate or 0–3 years of experience.
- Preferably a First Class Graduate.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial controls.
- Familiarity with motors, transformers, PLC basics, and switchgear is an advantage.
- Strong willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
