We’re looking for a senior product designer who thinks and operates like a leader—delivers with excellence, owns the outcome of their work, and doesn’t confuse aesthetics with impact.
You’ll be trusted with complex product problems, real business constraints, and meaningful ownership across critical payment experiences used by businesses across Africa—and increasingly, globally.
You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to shape products that are not only usable and beautiful, but effective, scalable, and trusted.
If your idea of design does not stop at screens, but instead, you see design as a strategic lever that drives growth, fosters trust, and provides clarity—then this opportunity is for you.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end design for high-impact product initiatives, from early exploration through launch and iteration.
Translate ambiguous business and customer problems into clear product strategy, user flows, and interaction models.
Design intuitive, reliable, and delightful payment experiences across multiple markets, platforms, and user types.
Lead thoughtful discovery: user research, usability testing, data analysis, and synthesis—without being precious about process.
Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to shape solutions that balance user needs, technical realities, business goals, and long-term scalability.
Leverage advanced prototyping techniques (including AI-assisted workflows) to explore, validate, and communicate ideas quickly.
Champion accessibility and inclusive design as a baseline, not a “nice-to-have.”
Raise the design bar through critique, mentorship, and example—without ego.
Continuously evolve our design systems, patterns, and operational practices to support scale.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a solid senior designer—someone reliable, curious, and intentional about their craft, with proven judgment.
You likely bring:
A strong, well-articulated portfolio showing shipped work with real-world impact. You can clearly explain why decisions were made, not just what was designed.
Deep experience designing complex, high-stakes products (fintech, SaaS, platforms, or similarly rigorous domains).
Excellent command of visual design, interaction design, and UX fundamentals—across web and product interfaces.
Strong product thinking: you understand trade-offs, constraints, and how design choices influence business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions—and challenge assumptions.
Fluency in modern design tools, prototyping methods, and AI-enabled workflows.
A clear understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills—you can influence without authority.
A growth mindset and self-leadership: you manage your time, energy, and development without needing supervision.
