About The Role




  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving deals to closure in Nigeria, leading to customer and revenue growth. They will execute the business development strategy for Nigeria, from identifying potential sales channels and partners to developing relationships and driving the end-to-end partnership process.

  • This role is for someone who thrives on identifying opportunities, creating win-win outcomes, and closing mutually beneficial commercial deals.



Key Roles And Responsibilities




  • Develop a partnership pipeline for Nigeria in collaboration with other BD team members and the CEO.

  • Identify growth opportunities in existing partnerships and engage the right people to grow the partnership.

  • Ensuring BD pipelines in Nigeria offer consistent opportunities that close over time and account for long sales cycles.

  • Close high-value deals from the deal pipeline.

  • Lead priority business development efforts and activations with major partners, banks, and MFIs

  • Actively review and iterate the BD & partnership toolkit to match Nigeria's needs for use in the business development workflow.



Knowledge, Skills, And Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5 - 7 years of experience managing long-term B2B relationships, ideally in insurance, and or financial services

  • Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), UK, or Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), or a Professional Insurance qualification is an added advantage

  • Proven track record of growing existing partnerships and improving partner satisfaction.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage C-suite executives and frontline teams alike.

  • Strong analytical and presentation ability, comfortable with data-driven storytelling.

  • Highly collaborative, empathetic, and comfortable working across diverse teams and market environments.
