Job Description







  • Manage the activities of the finance department and coordinate the process of corporate financial planning, budgeting, control, and reporting.

  • Responsible for managing the Hub invoices, Proforma, Expenses, cash flows, banking relationships and facilities, including negotiating new facilities where required.

  • Ensure invoices are issued on time and payment are made within 30days

  • Filing of PAYE taxes for the Business Units.

  • Filing of VAT and WHT for the Business Units

  • Ensure systems and accounting records are set up properly, accurately, complying with statutory requirements.

  • Advise management on the financial implications of business activities and initiatives to maximize profitability and or take corrective actions where necessary.

  • Ensure that internal controls are in place and reviewed periodically for effectiveness and suitability.

  • Ensure availability of adequate funds for project activities at the Hub by submitting timely

  • Lead the planning and budgeting process of the hub.

  • Work plans and budgets and accountability of all funds previously released, to the PMU.

  • Undertake monthly reconciliations and prepare financial reports and advise the management on the financial status of the Hub, and ensure timely submission of the reports to the Operation Manager & MD/CEO.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, audit, tax and contractual responsibilities.

  • Ensure appropriate budget is provided for programs and other activities

  • Manage requests for extra-budgetary expense

  • Prepare income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements

  • Support annual audit process with auditors

  • File annual returns with the Corporate Affairs Commission

  • Manage company accounts and maintain financial files and record.

  • Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs

  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.



Requirements




  • B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field

  • Professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is mandatory.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience as a Chartered Accountant, preferably in the real estate, co-working space, or hospitality industry.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
