The Group Head, Operations is responsible for developing and executing the bank’s operations strategy, ensuring efficient branch operations, seamless mortgage processing, strong internal controls, and full regulatory compliance.
The role oversees service delivery, process optimization, operational risk management, and business continuity while driving cost efficiency and customer experience across all operational units.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Membership of professional bodies such as CIBN; ICAN/ANAN or relevant operations or risk certifications are added advantages.
Experience:
12–15 years’ experience in banking or financial services operations.
At least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role, preferably within a mortgage bank or commercial bank.
Proven experience in branch operations, mortgage processing, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of mortgage banking operations and CBN, NDIC, and FMBN regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to drive process automation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
Solid expertise in operational risk management, internal controls, and audit remediation.
