Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE(S)
- The Group Head of HR is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing human resources strategies that align with the company’s rapid growth objectives, culture, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic HR Leadership: Collaborate with the C-suite and senior leaders to translate business strategies into actionable HR initiatives and priorities, serving as a trusted advisor on complex people matters.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Build a scalable recruitment strategy to attract top-tier technical and leadership talent in a competitive market. This includes overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to retention and offboarding.
- Organizational Design and Effectiveness: Lead workforce planning and organizational design to ensure the business has the right capabilities and capacity to scale efficiently. Partner with business leaders to enhance organizational agility.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks to ensure they are market-competitive and align with company objectives, potentially including ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plans) and incentive programs.
- Learning and Development: Partner with the Group Head Learning & Development to Drive a culture of continuous learning by developing and implementing L&D frameworks, leadership development programs, and succession planning to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
- Culture and Employee Engagement: Champion initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture, ensuring it supports high performance and well-being in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure strong HR compliance and governance across multiple geographies, navigating complex and changing international and local employment laws and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR).
- HR Operations and Technology: Manage and optimize the HR function’s systems and processes (HRIS), leveraging technology to drive automation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making through HR analytics and metrics.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the annual HR budget, optimizing resource allocation for various programs and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with several years in a senior leadership role within a high growth fintech, technology, or global matrix organization.
- Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are highly desirable.
- Business Acumen: A strong business mind with the ability to understand the company’s business model and align HR strategies with overall goals.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance, and evolving environment, managing change effectively.
