- The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the organization in making informed financial decisions.
- This role involves overseeing accounting operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insights into financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recordkeeping – Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable – Process invoices, manage payments, and track incoming revenue.
- Bank Reconciliation – Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Tax Compliance – Ensure timely submission of tax filings and adherence to statutory regulations.
- Internal Controls – Monitor internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.
- Audit Support – Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary financial documentation
- Expense Monitoring – Track company expenses and recommend cost-saving measures
- Collaboration – Work closely with management and other departments to support financial decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
