About the job

• We are hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a client


• This role requires a seasoned technology leader with deep hands-on product development experience and a strong track record of building, scaling, and maintaining production systems.

Role Overview

• The CTO will own the company’s end-to-end technology strategy, architecture, and engineering delivery.


• You will be responsible for turning business and product ideas into scalable, secure, and reliable digital products while building and leading high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s technology and product development strategy


• Lead the design, development, and scaling of core digital products and platforms


• Oversee system architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack decisions


• Build, manage, and mentor engineering and product development teams


• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, performance, and reliability


• Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Business teams to deliver roadmaps


• Drive agile development processes and engineering best practices


• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory standards


• Own technical delivery timelines, risks, and execution outcomes


• Support technical decision-making at executive and board levels

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


• 10 – 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership


• 5+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or equivalent)


• Proven experience building and shipping production products, not just managing teams


• Strong background in full-stack development and modern system architecture


• Experience scaling products from early-stage to high-traffic or enterprise environments


• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and system security


• Experience working in regulated industries (fintech, banking, payments) is a strong advantage


• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience leading fintech or financial services products


• Experience working in high-growth startups or scale-ups


• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures


• Experience supporting fundraising, due diligence, or technical audits
