Job Summary




  • The General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and revenue growth for the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising business.

  • He will plan, design, negotiate and execute innovative out-of-home advertising campaigns across diverse formats billboards, transit, digital screens, street furniture, experiential OOH, and emerging outdoor technologies

  • The role requires strong expertise in regulatory compliance (LASAA, OAAN, ARCON, and other state regulatory bodies), business development, vendor management, infrastructure expansion (new billboard construction), and identification of high-value strategic advertising locations across Nigeria.

  • The GM will drive profitability to ensure impactful OOH visibility and maximum ROI with clients, expand market presence, ensure full regulatory compliance, and oversee the end-to-end execution of billboard projects from site acquisition to deployment.

  • The ideal candidate must have strong design/visual communication skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and in-depth knowledge of the OOH landscape.



Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:




  • Develop and implement business strategies to increase revenue, market share, and profitability. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion into new states.

  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients, agencies, landlords, and government authorities.

  • Drive long-term growth plans including infrastructure development and asset ownership.



Regulatory & Compliance Management:




  • Ensure full compliance with LASAA, OAAN, ARCON, and state signage agencies.

  • Manage permit acquisition, renewals, and regulatory documentation.

  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies. • Stay updated on advertising laws and government policies.



Site Acquisition & Infrastructure Development:




  • Identify and secure strategic billboard locations with high traffic visibility and commercial value. Conduct feasibility studies including traffic count and ROI projections. Negotiate site agreements with landlords and government bodies.

  • Oversee design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of static, unipole, gantry, and digital LED billboards.

  • Ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. • Supervise maintenance and quality control of billboard assets.



Operations & Project Management:




  • Oversee day-to-day operations.

  • Ensure timely campaign execution and installation.

  • Monitor vendor performance.

  • Implement operational efficiency systems and reporting structures.



Sales & Client Relationship Management:




  • Lead the sales team to meet revenue targets.

  • Build strong relationships with media agencies and clients.

  • Approve pricing strategies and major contracts.

  • Drive occupancy rates across billboard assets.



Financial Management:




  • Develop and manage annual budgets.

  • Monitor cash flow and cost control.

  • Ensure profitability of each billboard asset.

  • Approve capital expenditure for infrastructure projects.



Team Leadership & Organizational Development:




  • Provide leadership to Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Finance teams.

  • Build a high-performance organizational culture.

  • Mentor and develop senior managers. • Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical standards



Key Qualifications & Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).

  • Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in Out-of-Home advertising, with at least 5 years in senior management.

  • Strong working knowledge of LASAA, OAAN, ARCON, and other state regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven experience in building billboard structures and securing premium locations.

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Financial acumen and P&L; management experience.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
