Job Summary




  • Our client presently requires the services of a self-motivated and highly experienced Mechanical Engineer.



Job Description




  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components in accordance with requirements.

  • Create detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software.

  • Optimize plastic processing techniques, specifically injection molding, blow molding to increase efficiency and decrease cycle times.

  • Coordinate mold-building schedules and interact with tool vendors.

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of hydraulic/electric injection molding machines and ancillary equipment (chillers, conveyors).

  • Establish quality control standards to ensure products are free from defects.

  • Analyze manufacturing data and test results to make improvements.

  • Establish, monitor, and adjust parameters (temperature, pressure, cooling time) for molding machines.

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize material usage.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical components with other systems.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering technology.

  • Maintenance of production machines and components.

  • Routinely inspecting mechanical machines and appliances.

  • Troubleshooting system failures.



Requirements




  • Possess a minimum of 8 years practical experience obtained from a plastics manufacturing company.

  • Extensive knowledge of handling plastic injection, mold and blow machines.

  • Basic experience in the installation, repairs and maintenance of diverse machines.



Qualification:




  • B.ENG. / HND in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Higher certifications and qualifications is an advantage.



Skill set:




  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

  • Attention to details.

  • Leadership skills.
