Job Summary
- Crawler Crane Mechanics who would be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining crawler cranes and related heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- The role involves working on hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, undercarriages, and structural components.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on crawler cranes.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, tracks, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain crawler tracks, rollers, sprockets, and undercarriage components.
- Conduct safety checks to ensure cranes meet operational and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs when required.
- Test equipment after repair to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety procedures and company maintenance protocols at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment or crane mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Physical strength and stamina to work in demanding environments.
- Trade tests certification in heavy equipment mechanics (preferred).
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment.
