The Business Development Manager will support the Area Manager in driving market growth through prospecting, sales execution, and customer relationship management within the chemical distribution sector.
The role involves developing new markets, achieving commercial targets, supervising stock and supply chain activities, and actively promoting products across key industries.
A chemical distribution background is mandatory, while specific knowledge in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and detergents will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Support existing business operations and progressively manage independent commercial targets
Prospect and develop new markets while maintaining strong customer relationships
Achieve sales and revenue objectives in line with the Area Manager’s strategy
Supervise stock levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure efficient logistics operations
Monitor inventory movement and ensure proper demand planning
Gather market intelligence and identify new growth opportunities
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with clients
Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field
Mandatory background in chemical distribution or chemical supply chain
Specific knowledge of cosmetics, pharmaceutical raw materials, and detergent chemicals is a strong advantage
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
Age 30+
Strong commercial, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities
Proactive, flexible, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
