- Maintain inventory levels and manage kitchen budgets.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, hygiene and organization in the kitchen, following all food safety standards
- Plate and serve meals, ranging from casual family dining to formal dinner parties.
- Proper care and usage of, for instance, work stations, steamersand rice cookers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience (usually 3-5+ years) as a Chinese chef, preferably with experience in high-end, private or luxury residential settings.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques (stir-frying, steaming, braising, roasting).
- Ability to create both traditional and modern, innovativeor fusion dishes.
- High-level organizational skills, with the ability to work independently to manage all aspects of the kitchen.
- Good communication skills to discuss meal preferences with the household, often in English.
