Summary of Responsibilities




  • Coordinates the planning and organization of the company’s manufacturing processes.

  • Implements operational manuals, production plans, and approved manufacturing programs.

  • Ensures manufacturing processes conform to organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Reviews and verifies the availability of adequate raw materials, packaging materials, utilities, filters, and machine spare parts to prevent production disruptions.

  • Ensures weekly and monthly production schedules are achieved in line with approved plans.

  • Supervises drug manufacturing activities to ensure full compliance with cGMP requirements and other regulatory standards.

  • Ensures standard batch yields are achieved and investigates any significant variances.

  • Reviews and signs batch manufacturing records (BMRs) and related production documents.

  • Ensures general cleanliness and hygienic conditions of manufacturing areas in compliance with GMP standards.

  • Ensures all production equipment is qualified, calibrated, and maintained in good working condition.

  • Assists in process validation, pilot-scale trials, and technology transfer activities for new products.

  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to resolve production-related quality issues.

  • Ensures proper documentation of all production activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains discipline and promotes a positive work culture among production staff.

  • Conducts and oversees on-the-job training for production personnel.

  • Ensures production personnel comply with safety, health, and quality standards and wear appropriate PPE before and during operations.

  • Participates in audits (internal and external) and implements corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where necessary.

  • Monitors adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and initiates revisions when required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.



Academic Qualification and Skills




  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.).

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria and possess a valid practicing license.

  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

  • Good organizational and planning skills.

  • High level of attention to detail with a professional and approachable personality.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively multitask.

  • Ability to monitor and manage inventory efficiently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer use.
