Job Summary
- The Facility Officer is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of the organization’s facilities.
- The role ensures that buildings, equipment, and services are well maintained and compliant with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain building infrastructure, utilities, and facilities equipment
- Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities
- Supervise external vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Ensure cleanliness, security, and safety of the facility at all times
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues, breakdowns, or emergencies
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service contracts
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Assist in space management, office setup, and facility improvements
- Support budget control by monitoring facility-related expenses
- Report facility conditions and recommend improvements to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- OND / HND / B.Sc in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field
- 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in facility or building management
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
