Job Description

• A new and exciting opportunity for a Chief Technology Officer has just opened up at a well established, global Private Equity and Asset Management company in Nigeria. 


• We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer who is passionate about leading developers and building technology products that customers love. 


• The Chief Technology Officer will build a team from the ground up, using a mix of outsourcing and contracting. 


• They should be well versed in Agile and Scrum methodologies. They should also effectively serve as the bridge between the tech team and product or business units.

Responsibilities

• Develop & implement a 5-year technology strategy for the group (comprising a cooperative, private equity firm, venture funding firm, and global fund). Detail all building blocks that will be required including products, apps, websites, plug-ins and human or other resources


• Create & manage budgets & timelines for tech projects


• Research & communicate new technology developments that will yield a competitive corporate advantage


• Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards


• Lead the development of a robust retail investment app; asset management app and website; global fund app & website; as well as lead Search Engine Optimisation across all group websites, including both technical & content requirements

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years of prior experience


• Is aware of trends in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Web 3.0


• Can manage developers and can accurately develop requirements documents and frameworks


• Can mine useful business knowledge from existing data


• Can accurately describe technical information in layman's terms so that business stakeholders are on the same page as developers


• Has an innovative mindset that constantly seeks improved products, processes, costs, and models


• Maintains discretion and confidentiality


• Exhibits maturity, character, and global exposure.
