Job Description
The purpose of this role is to:
- To report and analyze business related activities in ACS, supporting Senior Management in decision making
- To conduct root-cause analysis for service performance issues and identify improvement opportunities
- To support First Choice projects in business areas such as Capacity planning, connectivity improvement, revenue management
Key Tasks
- Creation and analysis of diverse reports/ dashboards/ scorecards using multiple data sources and multiple data analysis tools to address complex operational questions, supporting our ACS Service Quality/Network Operations functional Teams and monitoring 3rd Party Handling.
- Production of ad-hoc reports as requested by Senior Management
- Identifying the needs for new data according to business requirement
- Documenting, obtaining approval and logging Change Request to the created content
- Maintenance and enhancement of existing reports
- Acting as Data steward/champion for ACS Global related digitalization reporting (ex. Power BI)
- Ensuring adherence to data policies and standards within the ACS Community
- Ongoing support for the users of the information at all levels of seniority and across multiple functions (E.g. Global / Regional/ Country decision makers, A·ACS Sales, ACS Capacity, Net Ops functions)
- Creation of documentation to enable effective communication to user community
- User acceptance testing and implementation support to ensure quality is maintained
- Technical support with all Global ACS Departments
- Administrative support with projects, such as performance measurement, keeping stakeholders appraised of status and raising notifications where necessary
- Providing new and creative solutions to enhance our product portfolio
- Creation of communication material and presentations for the ACS community
- Organize trainings to help all ACS departments understanding how to use the tools, so they are able to make right business decision quickly and accordingly
- Continuing to learn new software development and data analysis skills in order to maintain certification and provide the highest quality business support
- Conduct and support project management/ First Choice initiatives .
Educational Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, or Science or equivalent practical education (preferably Data focused mindset)
Expected Years of Experience
- 3+ years as business/data analyst role or higher
- Global, Regional or country experience
- Familiarity with DHL ACS, KPIs specific to the cargo industry, Global SOP and IT/Reporting systems
- Demonstrable software user experience
- Advanced statistical analysis skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and formulate proposals
- Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
- Excellent understanding of internal ACS DHL data and IATA messaging
- Collaborative approach with variety of cultures
- Cross functional outlook
- Advanced Microsoft Office, Microsoft ACCESS, Cognos Report Studio skills, knowledge of Tableau and Power BI is an aadvantage
- SQL / Teradata competency
- Ability to train and share expertise from both an OPS and technical point of view
- Team-player but with the confidence to act independently
- Resilience to cope with pressure in terms of multi-tasking and short-term deadlines
- Project and field experience
- Awareness and interest in SQ opportunities and challenges
- Strong Communication Skills: Being able to effectively communicate complex ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical team members or stakeholders.
