Job Summary:
The Entry-Level Aircraft Maintenance Engineer responsibilities for inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft to ensure all operations meet aviation safety and performance standards. This role provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying aircraft systems under the guidance of licensed engineers and maintenance supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft and components under supervision.
- Carry out inspections in compliance with regulatory and manufacturer requirements (e.g., C-checks, A-checks).
- Record maintenance actions accurately in engineering logs and maintenance tracking systems.
- Carry out troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and workspace comply with safety and calibration standards.
- Follow all company, regulatory compliances, and manufacturer maintenance procedures.
- Maintain awareness of human factors, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to gain licensure or type ratings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures.
- Eligibility for or possession of an Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to technical standards.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of aviation maintenance documentation (e.g., AMM, IPC,).
- Familiarity with aviation regulations (e.g., NCAA).
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic computing systems.
