Job Description

•  He will be responsible for overseeing the Company’s Financial Accounts and leading the Account/Finance Department. Manages Accounts, Finance/Treasury, and Credit Control.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash flow management


• Regulatory compliance


• Budgeting and forecasting


• Preparing financial reports


• Assist in company-wide budgetary planning


• Analyze markets


• Developing and implementing internal control procedures


• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements


• Producing long-term business plans


• Providing strategic investment advice to management · Compiling, analyzing, and preparing financial information


• Coordinating annual accounting closures


• Managing accounting practices across the organization


• Managing potential financial disputes


• Prepare and present reports to management


• Risk management


• Supervise and mentor finance department staff

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS or local GAAP)


• Tax and regulatory compliance knowledge


• Financial modelling and analysis


• ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)


• Risk management and internal control systems

Leadership & Strategic Skills:

• Team leadership and people management

Educational Qualification

• HND / B.Sc is compulsory. Having one or two certificates in these relevant fields is important: Accounting, Finance, Economics with 3–5+ years in senior management


• MBA (Master of Business Administration) — finance or general management focus


• MSc/Master's in Finance / Accounting / Economics


• ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) — Chartered Accountant


• ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)


• CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)


• CPA (Certified Public Accountant)


• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
