Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Physics Teacher to join our academic team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Senior Secondary School students, preparing them for internal and external examinations, and fostering a strong understanding of physics concepts through engaging and simplified teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics to Senior Secondary School students in line with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
- Simplify complex physics concepts to enhance students’ understanding.
- Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations where applicable.
- Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations.
- Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance regularly.
- Provide extra lessons when necessary (based on student availability).
- Maintain accurate academic records and reports.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.
- Identify students’ learning needs and provide tailored support.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- HND or B.Sc. in Education (Physics) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Physics at the Senior Secondary level.
- Strong mastery of physics concepts and practical application.
- Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse learners.
- Teachable, adaptable, and open to continuous improvement.
- Attentive to students’ academic and emotional needs.
- Good moral character and professional conduct.
- Punctual, reliable, and well-organized.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
