Job Summary

• The Head of Legal and Compliance is a senior executive responsible for overseeing an organization’s legal affairs and ensuring regulatory compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all legal matters (contracts, disputes, corporate governance).


• Provide strategic legal advice to executive leadership and the board.


• Manage external counsel and litigation strategy.


• Review and approve major agreements and partnerships. Ensure adherence to local and international laws and regulations.


• Develop and maintain compliance programs and policies.


• Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact.


• Lead internal audits and investigations. Identify legal and regulatory risks.


• Implement risk mitigation strategies.


• Oversee whistleblower programs and ethics frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB and MSc in law ).


• Licensed to practice law (in relevant jurisdiction).


• 10–12+ years of legal experience (often with corporate or regulatory focus).


• Strong knowledge of industry regulations.


• Leadership and strategic decision-making skills.
