Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Primary Sales Representative to drive primary sales performance, manage distributor operations, and ensure consistent product availability across assigned territories.
- The ideal candidate must understand FMCG sales dynamics, distributor management, and route-to-market execution, and be willing to travel within the assigned state to achieve sales targets and strengthen market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary sales through effective distributor and route-to-market management.
- Ensure optimal stock levels at distributor warehouses to prevent stockouts.
- Support distributors with stock depletion strategies and route execution.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs consistently.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing structures, providing actionable insights.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales performance reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational procedures.
- Provide field feedback to support sales strategy and promotional planning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years’ experience in FMCG primary sales, distributor management, or route-to-market operations.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple distributors and sales routes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned state.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence trade partners.
