Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth:




  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine value propositions and sales tactics.

  • Forecast sales projections accurately and report on pipeline health to the executive leadership team.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation, campaign effectiveness, and messaging.

  • Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth handoff and high client retention.



Team Management & Development:




  • Provide daily coaching, mentor-ship, and performance management to direct reports.

  • Conduct regular 1-on-1s and team meetings to review performance, remove roadblocks, and share best practices.

  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative culture that drives motivation and accountability.



Sales Process & Operations:




  • Refine and optimize the sales process to improve conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.

  • Implement and manage sales methodologies to ensure a disciplined approach.

  • Leverage the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track activities, manage pipelines, and generate actionable insights.

  •  Lead negotiations for high-stakes, complex contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.



Qualifications & Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in an FMCG sales leadership/management role.

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas both as an individual contributor and as a leader.

  • Experience in FMCG is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of route to market Pan Nigeria.
