Job Description

About Us

  • This role is not for beginners or career switchers — it is designed for a proven professional with hands-on experience in HMO/health insurance business development who can hit the ground running and deliver measurable results.

The Role

  • The Business Development Manager will take ownership of growth in South West Nigeria, driving sales targets, winning new accounts, and strengthening client relationships.

  • You will be the face of the organization to corporate clients, hospitals, clinics, and key partners — ensuring trust, credibility, and consistent value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion & Client Acquisition: Develop and execute winning strategies to secure new business across corporate, institutional, and individual segments.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, and corporate organizations to expand our service reach.

  • Revenue Growth: Consistently achieve sales and revenue targets by closing high-value deals.

  • Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to design health plans that meet client needs while driving profitability.

  • Performance Tracking: Provide accurate pipeline forecasts, market insights, and performance reports to management.

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

  • Acquisition of new individual and corporate clients.

  • Sustainable revenue growth from new and existing accounts.

  • High-quality, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.

  • Strong client retention and satisfaction rates.

  • Consistent achievement (or surpassing) of monthly/quarterly targets.

What We Require (No Exceptions)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields (Master’s degree is an added edge).

  • 5 – 7 years proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within an HMO or health insurance organization.

  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian healthcare insurance landscape and NHIA regulations.

  • Exceptional negotiation, pitching, and client relationship management skills.

  • A self-driven, target-oriented performer who thrives under pressure and delivers results with minimal supervision.
