Job Description

About the role

  • We're looking for a sharp, creative, and digitally fluent NYSC corp member to join our communications team.

  • You will support the development and execution of content and campaigns that position our work, amplify our impact, and engage key audiences across platforms.

  • If you love storytelling, thrive in fast-paced environments, and believe in the power of strategic communications to drive real change, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality content – written, visual, and multimedia for digital and traditional communications channels.

  • Manage the organisation's social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook), ensuring consistent brand voice, strategic scheduling, and audience engagement

  • Support the design and implementation of communications campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement initiatives

  • Draft and edit newsletters, press releases, programme reports, executive briefs, and other communications materials

  • Monitor online conversations, track engagement metrics, and generate performance reports.

  • Coordinate with programme teams to translate technical health content into accessible, engaging narratives

  • Maintain and update the organisation’s website and develop a structured content calendar.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related discipline.

  • Currently serving as an NYSC corp member and available for full-time primary assignment.

  • Demonstrable written communication skills - clear, punchy, and adaptable across formats and audiences.

  • Practical experience in social media management, digital content creation, and online community engagement.

  • Proficiency in design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent) with a strong visual sensibility.

  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools and the ability to interpret performance data to optimise content.

  • Self-starter who takes ownership, meets deadlines, and brings ideas to the table unprompted.

  • Prior exposure to the health sector, development sector, or public policy environment is an advantage.
