Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, ensure statutory compliance, monitor transactions, and provide accurate financial reports to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to management
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Prepare and file statutory remittances (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax authorities and regulations
- Liaise with tax consultants when necessary.
Payroll Administration:
- Process staff salaries accurately and timely
- Ensure proper deductions and remittances
- Maintain payroll records and documentation.
Expense & Asset Management:
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation
- Manage petty cash and expense approvals
- Maintain financial records of company assets.
Internal Control & Audit Support:
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls
- Prepare documents for audit purposes
- Ensure transparency and accountability in financial processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
