Job Purpose

• To support the formulation, quality control, and optimisation of poultry feed to ensure consistent production of nutritionally balanced and cost-effective feed in line with Amo Byng’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

Feed Formulation & Optimisation:

• Develop and adjust poultry feed formulations (starter, grower, finisher, layer, breeder).


• Apply least-cost formulation principles while maintaining nutritional integrity.


• Monitor feed performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Quality Control & Ingredient Management:

• Inspect and evaluate incoming raw materials.


• Conduct routine analysis of feed ingredients and finished products.


• Ensure feed meets specified nutritional and safety standards.


• Identify and report substandard materials.

Production Support:

• Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate batching and mixing.


• Monitor adherence to formulation specifications during production runs.


• Investigate feed-related performance issues and propose corrective measures.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate formulation records and ingredient specifications.


• Prepare periodic nutrition and production reports.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor feed conversion ratios and bird performance trends.


• Support trials and innovation initiatives aimed at improving feed efficiency.


• Stay updated on emerging developments in poultry nutrition.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or related discipline.


• 0–3 years of experience in poultry feed production or livestock nutrition.


• Sound knowledge of poultry nutritional requirements.


• Basic understanding of feed formulation software.


• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
