Job Responsibilities




  • Oversee and manage the overall operations of the haulage service unit to ensure efficient logistics and transportation activities.

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the haulage business and expand service offerings.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

  • Plan and coordinate logistics movement across various locations, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods.

  • Monitor and manage fuel consumption, fleet utilization, and operational costs to improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Supervise truck maintenance schedules to ensure all vehicles remain in optimal working condition and comply with safety standards.

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to support client logistics needs and improve service delivery.



Job Requirements




  • Minimum of a BSc Degree in in Transport Management or any field.

  • A Master’s Degree will be an advantage.

  • Previous Haulage Experience up to 8 years.

  • Numeric, safety management skills are a must.

  • Understanding of Profit & loss of a business unit

  • Candidate must be able to develop the haulage service section of the business and manage the team

  • Understanding of fuel management, truck maintenance, logistics movement, and must understand land logistics, especially the Nigerian roads.

  • Candidate must be able to generate new business and manage existing ones.

  • Ability to develop new business channels, especially the use of 3PL to service our clients’ logistics requests.

  • Firm decision-making and problem-solving skills.
