Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth within the solar energy sector. This role is ideal for a commercially savvy professional with a strong understanding of renewable energy, who can identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and secure high-value contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities
- Develop strategies to expand into new markets and sectors
- Generate leads through networking, partnerships, and digital channels
- Drive end-to-end sales processes including negotiations and deal closure
- Manage and deliver Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) proposals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
- Serve as the primary contact for key stakeholders
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations
- Identify and secure partnerships with installers, financiers, and government bodies
- Secure funding for solar and EPC projects
- Work with finance teams to structure viable investment opportunities
- Manage government contracts, registrations, and tender processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus
- 10+ years in sales, with 5+ in the solar industry
- Strong industry network and proven sales success
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
