About the role
- At Moniepoint, we power the dreams of millions. Our physical branches are the hubs where those dreams take shape. As our Quantity Surveyor, you are the financial heartbeat of our physical expansion.
- You’ll oversee the cost integrity and financial health of our branch buildouts and infrastructure projects across Nigeria. This isn't just about spreadsheets; it’s about mastery.
- You will ensure that every Naira we invest in our physical footprint is used honestly and efficiently to create spaces that bring financial happiness to our customers.
- You’ll be a strategic partner who understands that a building’s value is measured from the first brick to its long-term maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Planning & Intelligence: Maintain a real-time database of market rates for materials and labour across Nigeria. You’ll keep our "Moniepoint Rate Guide" current and accurate.
- Feasibility & Estimates: Create detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pre-tender estimates that allow us to move fast without losing precision.

- Tender Management: Lead commercial evaluations of tenders and provide data-backed recommendations for contract awards.
- Value Engineering: Identify innovative ways to reduce costs during design phases while strictly maintaining our brand standards.
- Contract Administration: Manage the full contract lifecycle, including Advance Payment Bonds, Performance Bonds, and site measurements for milestone certifications.
- Financial Control: Negotiate and manage "Variation Orders," ensuring every deviation from the budget is justified and approved.
- Maintenance Integration: Provide lifecycle costing analysis to ensure our materials are durable and cost-effective to maintain over time.
- Audit & Compliance: Ensure all civil works comply with Nigerian building codes, HSE standards, and our internal governance policies.

- Mandatory Registration: Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
Preferred Qualifications:
- HSE Certification or membership in Facilities Management bodies (e.g., IFMA).
- Expertise in scale-up environments where speed and cost-efficiency are balanced.
About You
- You value mastery: You don't guess; you use data and research to back every number you provide.
- You’re a builder: You’re energised by the idea of creating systems and rate guides from the ground up to help a business scale.
- You’re relatable and direct: You can explain complex cost structures to non-technical teammates simply and clearly.
- You have grit: You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can pivot quickly when priorities shift.
- You’re a strategic partner: You think about the "future self" of the building, ensuring today's costs don't lead to tomorrow's maintenance headaches.
