Job Description

• Solely responsible for planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities in response to the children’s emerging interests and skills


• Observes and records relevant information on each child's progress as required according to The Baby Lounge’s policies


• Will majorly carry out pedagogic activities and supervise them when necessary


• Ensures the correct administration of medications to children, when necessary


• Provides a daily balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, and individual/group activities


• Establishes and carry out a daily activity schedule that incorporates child directed activity, care routines and transition times


• Prepares week’s curriculum


• Ensures the smooth transitioning from one activity to the other


• Supervises and help prepare and fully set up learning & play environment


• Supervise and discharge duties to the Early Care Assistants


• Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Centre Director/Administrator or her designate.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in any field of study


• 2 - 5 years of work experience


• Apllicants must be a female


• Training in child development is a plus


• First aid certification is a plus


• Previous experience as a Nanny or Babysitter is a plus


• Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages


• Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children


• Multitasking skills


• A pleasant and patient personality.

Salary

N60,000 - N100,000 / month.
