Job Summary
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing sales operations within the agro-allied sector.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong industry knowledge (livestock, feed, hatchery, or related value chains), excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales performance and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand customer base.
- Identify new business opportunities within livestock farms, hatcheries, feed distributors, and agro-dealers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to inform business decisions.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Organize and participate in field visits, product demonstrations, and industry events.
- Ensure proper documentation of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Provide technical support and advisory services to customers where necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following or related fields:
- Animal Science
- Animal Nutrition
- Veterinary Medicine
- Agricultural Production or related discipline
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in sales within an agro-allied industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of livestock production, feed products, or hatchery operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a sales team effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field operations.
