Description


IT operations specialist is responsible for the management of workflow throughout all departments within a business. The purpose of this position is to optimize the daily activities and performance of the business across the board. IT Operations Specialist is in charge of setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems within our group of companies and business units and maintains computer and software networks. Duties include responding to hardware problems, updating system software, and tracking the data and communications used on their network. Candidates who covet this position must work well under pressure and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Strong organization and time management skills are also required.


IT Operations Specialist will maintain and improve the technical systems of our organization to ensure all enterprises, business units and employees have the technology they need to complete their work and the organization’s important files and information remain safe and intact.


Responsibilities for IT Operations Specialist




  • Assist the business operations manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating functions relating to the operation of the business




  • Maintain an updated client, customer, contractor, and supplier management system




  • Monitor expenses and budget in line with the finance and accounts department




  • Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements in any aspects relating to




  • increased performance




  • Train new hires as necessary and ensure policies and procedures are followed




  • Keep up to date with the current market trends and industry forecasts




  • Coordinates with different departments to achieve optimal work production across the board




Requirements


Qualifications for Operations Specialist – In addition to basic IT training, the following will be an advantage:




  • Proven experience in working in business operations or sales operations




  • Leadership, Team building skills




  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills




  • Good social and presentation skills




  • Excellent oral and written communication skills




  • High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure




  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision




  • Knowledge of handling general office equipment




  • Proficient in technology especially Microsoft Office applications




  • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems




  • Implement networks and security measures




  • Monitor security certificates, subscriptions, and company compliance of requirements




  • Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems




  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed




  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items




  • Ensure efficiency of multiple applications across different work functions




  • Ensure update, upgrade, and efficiency of mail servers




  • Ensure seamless integration of company IT resources for internal and external clients
