Job Description

• We are now searching for an appropriately competent Supply Chain Officer to assist in the planning and coordination of supply.

Responsibilities

• Be in-charge of importation of materials required for operations.


• Liaise with clearing agents for the port clearing processes.


• Work with procurement managers and buyers to source the right products.


• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers.


• Control the delivery processes.


• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.


• Oversee product storage, handling and distribution.


• Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery.


• Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality.


• Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process.


• Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers.


• Manage and minimize the risksthat could affect or interrupt the supply chain.


• Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets.

Requirements

• B.Sc / HND in Supply Chain or related fields.


• Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.


• At least 2 years work experience.


• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.


• Experience in importation into Nigeria by air or sea such as opening Form Ms, establishing LCs, processing PAAR etc.


• Understanding the responsibility of statutory bodies involved in the clearing of goods from the port.


• Fluent in English; Good communication skills.


• Between 27 - 35 yearsof age.
