Job Description
Main Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Be the office manager for the sales and marketing department
- Keep records of proceedings by taking minutes at sales meetings and follow up to ensure timely execution of action points.
- Maintain proper arrangement of stocks in the showroom and neatness in the yard at all times.
- Assist sales team to achieve sales targets by raising quotations.
- Maintain a leave rota for the sales and marketing team
- Provide support for sales advisors when they are away from the office by taking calls or emails from customers and alert them to any urgent issues.
- Record and process sales team’ expenses, such as fuel or hotel accommodation, and prepare reports against budgets.
- keep accurate inventory of all sales collaterals and support the sales managers in the distribution of the same in line with sales policy.
- Deal with routine requests from customers, such as requests for price quotes or delivery dates.
- Pass any technical queries from the sales team or customers to the appropriate departments.
- Update sales team on orders or deliveries to enable field sales team work more productively and focus on dealing with customers.
- Maintain sales records and assist the sales manager to prepare weekly or monthly performance reports.
Technical Competencies
- Proven work experience as a Sales administrator or Sales support agent
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent marketing and sales skills.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of the business, competitors and our customer’s markets; preferably experience from construction machinery, construction and mining industries.
