Job Summary

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records, transactions, reporting, and compliance activities of Onealpha-Ryde.


• The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can ensure financial accuracy, support strategic decision-making, and maintain proper accounting processes within a fast-paced transportation business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and ledgers.


• Monitor daily income, expenses, and cash flow activities across transportation operations.


• Reconcile bank statements, fuel expenses, driver payments, customer wallet and operational costs.


• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.


• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.


• Ensure timely statutory remittances including taxes, pensions, and other regulatory obligations.


• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.


• Monitor vehicle-related expenses and assist management in cost optimization.


• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and company assets.


• Actively contribute to and lead audits while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.


• Use accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data efficiently.


• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.


• 3–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within transportation, logistics, or service-related industries.


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.


• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
