Job Description
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance assessments for office operations and vessels.
- Assist in incident investigations and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate safety drills, compliance activities, and staff awareness programs.
- Monitor compliance with applicable maritime regulations, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update compliance records, risk registers, and management system documentation.
- Support vessel readiness for regulatory, statutory, and customer inspections.
- Monitor crew certification and competency compliance.
- Analyze inspection findings and compliance trends and prepare periodic management reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance operational safety, quality, environmental performance, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in emergency response activities as required.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- A graduate of a recognized Shipping Academy
- HSE certification is an added advantage e.g NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.
- Good knowledge of international shipping standards e.g MARPOL, ISPS, MLC, ISM etc
