Report To: Head of Unit


Background


We seek to hire an Accountant who will work in the finance Team.


Responsibilities



  • Maintenance of books of accounts and compiling financial statements

  • Creating, processing of invoices and refunds to Clients

  • Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy

  • Managing a company’s accounts payable and receivable

  • Tracking organization expenses

  • Working with collection agencies on overdue payments

  • Manage suppliers accounts including generation of various evaluation report for the firm

  • Participate in budgeting processes

  • Participate in preparation of financial records

  • Reconciliation of accounts and balances

  • Performing general financial calculations.

  • Analysing financial data to provide organisations with information that will assist in future planning and decision-making.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.

  • Proffer advisory backed by accounting principles to improve record keeping.

  • Other Job that may be assigned from time to time


Educational Qualifications and Experience Requirements



  • B.Sc in Accounting, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as an Accountant or FinanceOfficer

  • Must be ACCA or ACA holder

  • Work expereince with an Account Consulting Firm will be an added advantage

  • Preferrred Gender - Female

  • Available to resume on the 5th of August 2022.

  • General business knowledge

  • Up-to-date technology expertise e.g Advance excel, Quickbooks, Microsoft 365 etc

  • Indepth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different personalities and cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Outstanding critical thinking, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

  • Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.

  • Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines, and achieving results.

  • Integrity and transparency in dealing with management, colleagues, clients, Suppliers and other individuals that you may come in contact with while carrying out your duties.
