Reports to: Deputy Manager, IT Applications Support

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

(1) Developing, Managing and Provide Support for All Business Application Systems

• Provide technical maintenance and usage support of business application systems.


• Control access permissions and privileges.


• Analyze, define and implement interfaces between business applications to provide integrated solutions.


• Provide additional functionality by using appropriate tools to enhance business applications for effectiveness.


• Develop reports, workflows, web interfaces and forms to maximize ROI and ensure efficient and enhanced services.


• Install and test upgrades and patches.


• Provide Business Application training

(2) Plan, Develop and Administer Database Systems

• Support design and document database architecture.


• Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions.


• Develop database utilities and automated reporting.


• Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users.


• Define and establish user needs and systems access.


• Control access permissions and privileges.


• Create shell scripts for task automation


• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements.


• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency.


• Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover.


• Restore and recover corrupted databases.


• Install and test upgrades and patches.


• Implement security and encryption.


• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies.

(3) Monitoring, Reporting & Intranet/Website Management

• Monitor all Business application and database to ensure high uptime and quick resolution of problems.


• Maintain records on downtime of applications and database.


• Monitor and report resource utilization. (Memory, CPU, Storage).


• Monitor and report on systems and transactional logs.


• Install, configure and administer SharePoint intranet and front facing corporate website.

(4) Installing, Configuring, Deploying and Supporting Enterprise Systems

• Install, configure, and deploy Microsoft exchange and windows server systems.


• Administer Active Directory and E-mail systems through account creation, deletion and changes’


• Support and administers client’s domain name support availability and performance tuning of enterprise systems


• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required files systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, or recovery tapes or disks and media tapes recycled as per company policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic engineering, Physics or Computer


• Engineering, with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience, must poses excellent knowledge of database development, design and administration; excellent knowledge base of windows operating and application system of Project management Processes.
