Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Design, implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches and controllers within an enterprise environment.


• Ensure the network is maintained to a high level of security, performance and availability .


• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, capacity management and collaborating with relevant teams on network optimization.


• Researching and integrating new technologies into the network life cycle.


• Interfacing with relevant resolver groups to resolve incidents.


• Testing networks for weakness or potential points of compromise, staying abreast of necessary updates, both functional and security.


• Managing email and internet filters.


• Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls in line with IT security policy.


• Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.


• 5+ years experience designing, implementing, administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches and controllers within an enterprise environment.


• CCNP Certification required.


• In depth knowledge of network protocols.


• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning networks.


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
