Job purpose:


This position will be responsible for implementing all protection and CFS activities in the targeted location in DAMATURU, Yobe  state, and Maiduguri, Borno State, both directly and indirectly through training/mentoring of CPC volunteers. They will be working 100% on the project.

Job Field CFS Animator

Reporting: Project Officer

Salary Range N40,000 – N80,000 Gross

Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that the children inputs are included during play and activities

  • Ensure toys and recreational materials are rotated impartially amongst the children

  • Supervise and support children’s play activities for a minimum of 6-8 hours  per day for 5 days weekly at the agreed times in time table

  • Using the protection mapping as a guide, ensure identified needs are met

  • Ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere within the child friendly space

  • Conduct a daily visual assessment and to ensure several varieties of games and activities cater to the needs of children based on ages, gender, abilities, cultural and religious differences.

  • Ensure CFS location is kept clean and hygienic

  • Ensure equipment’s and play materials are inventoried daily and kept properly

  • Keep the caregivers and parents informed on developments and problems within the CFS and surrounding areas

  • Keep the parents informed on security situations.

  • Must ensure that caregivers of children under 5 are present during CFS activities

  • Must adherer to the child safeguarding and protection policies and reporting standards.

  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager.

  • Write and submit activity reports.


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS



  • Quality Project implementation.

  • Implementation of activity plans against the project proposal.

  • Audit reports detailing good stewardship of resources and data

  • To enhance collective capacity for influence and impact.

  • Timely submission of quality report


Qualifications



  • A Senior School Certificate or Diploma.

  • A good history with children.


Experience



  • Minimum of one-year experience in similar field.

  • Excellent organization and coordination skills;

  • Proven ability to motivate

  • Must be result-oriented

  • Verbal and written communication skills; both internally and externally.

  • Analytical skills;

  • Presentation skills;

  • Ability to work under pressure and to work with multiple agendas.

  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
