Description

• Plan/Design drilling programs in accordance with industry recognized technical criteria and applicable drilling regulations, to achieve exploration objectives in a safe and cost effective manner.


• Prepare budget and monitor costs.


• Ensure procedures are technically valid and applicable to the specific well conditions.


• Monitor and evaluate well conditions in conjunction with the Field Engineers.


• Initiate other management systems or procedures as required during the program.


• Communicate with Service Contractors about technical issues and any changes in the drilling program.


• Provide offshore drilling engineering support.


• Provide support to clients and field engineers during drilling activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Engineering, Science, Geology or other technical discipline.


• Minimum of 5 years Oil & Gas Drilling experience with an operating company.


• Industry training in drilling technology and HSE.


• Demonstrate communication skills, technical maturity and flexibility to adjust to change.


• Good data management and computer literacy.


• Requires ability to read and interpret information well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well-site data.
